Jda Prospace Planogram Software

Planograms are schematic diagrams that show exactly where products should go. In some industries — for example, in fashion — a planogram might have detailed drawings showing eye-catching displays. In others, there might simply be black and white boxes with text (either product names or codes) showing facings. Either way, a planogram provides guidance for shelving products. The planogram shows where in the store — in which aisle and on which shelf — each product should go, and how many facings each SKU should have. Planograms may be created with software using data.

JDA’s Space Planning (formerly Intactix Prospace) is one of the most popular. Planograms are not usually automatically generated, though. Since planograms are in essence strategic tools, human judgement is needed to create the most profitable product mix.

Suppliers may create their own proposed planograms for presentation to buyers. The object of a planogram is to achieve the best alignment of shelf space with consumer demand, and to communicate clearly with the people responsible for shelving the goods. The overall objective is to put the right product in front of the right shoppers at the right time. 8th & Walton, LLC is in no way associated with or endorsed by Walmart Stores, Incorporated or its affiliates.
